It’s been well over a decade since I have regularly carried a cute, little trendy purse. Babies have tons of gear, and to carry it all, I hung up my tiny clutches and embraced the “mom-bag.” I have to admit that I have enjoyed the Mary Poppins quality of being able to pull anything and everything out of my big ol’ bag, but I have (finally) moved into a stage of life when I no longer need to cart around the entire Babies R’ Us inventory. Now, that I’m happily rocking the littler purses again I am reluctant to go back to the big bag, even when we travel. That means that everyone needs to carry their own bag in the car or on a plane. Easy enough for my older boys, who just need a pocket for their handheld games to keep them busy, but my littlest traveler still needs a bag with activities. I came across the TrayKit when I was researching a good travel bag for him and I am thrilled with how versatile and useful it is in our life.
What is It Exactly?
TrayKit is an all in one backpack and play space for traveling kids. Pockets inside hold toys, games, and writing utensils just like a favorite backpack, but can be opened to create a tray table or expandable play surface while riding in a train, plane, or car.
How to Use It?
Pack it with your favorite busy activities for travel and zip it up to keep all those treasures safe in transit. It carries just like a backpack and is small enough for even little kids to carry easily. For car travel or other places without a tray, attach the Velcro strap to the headrest. For airplane travel, the kit straps securely to the tray table so that all the contents stay put.
Features I Love
· Keeps all the kid gear neat, organized, and most importantly contained.
· Extendable raised sides keeps toys from rolling away or falling in the floor.
· Provide a clean eating surface for snacks on the go.
· Perfect “ready to go” entertainment for more than just travel. Useful for the doctor’s office, restaurants, and other outings.
· Durable and easy to clean.
· Creates a sense of ownership and independence in little travelers.
Any Drawbacks?
I really love everything about the TrayKit, although I wish it could hold more so we could fit a few more little toys in our wonderbag. The only other drawback is that I can’t seem to get it off my four year old son’s back. This reminds me, I need to sneak into his room and slip it off after he fell asleep wearing his new favorite bag.

Oh I like the looks of this! My car is always a wreck with the kids stuff every where, especially when we go on a road trip. I will have to look into these!!

What a great idea! I’m so tired of picking up crayons from the airplane floor.
