Sponsored Post: Relive Your Childhood with a Traditional Family Holiday

Camping

16 Apr

Today it’s so easy to book a holiday in an exotic location – with the amazing choice of destinations available at really reasonable prices, the possibilities of world travel have really opened up. But somehow holidaying in one of those perfect hotels with fantastic swimming pools and huge restaurants can feel a little soulless. Sometimes it’s nice to go back to tradition and take a family holiday that’s reminiscent of your childhood.

Nowhere is it easier to do this than in Britain. With such an amazing coastline to explore, there are a wealth of seaside towns that can provide the perfect location for that bucket and spade kind of holiday. And even the fact that you can’t guarantee the weather adds to the appeal. You have to have rainy day contingency plans lined up – so it’s well worth researching the area to make sure there is plenty to do there away from the beach.

As for where to stay on this traditional kind of holiday, there’s a huge range of different accommodation available. You might prefer to hire a mobile home on a holiday park or maybe a private holiday cottage is your preference. And of course, you can always find bed and breakfast places and hotels.

Camping can be a great way to relive childhood memories, but if you haven’t been for a while, you’ll find things have changed a lot on British campsites and holiday parks. From the Scottish Highlands to the Cornish peninsula and across to Norfolk holiday parks now have amazing facilities like heated indoor swimming pools, children’s clubs and play areas and evening entertainment. Of course, holiday parks are usually in amazing locations as well – so that you can be surrounded by some spectacular scenery.

And though they’re often busy, it can end up being a relaxing holiday as everything you need is on hand, and there are always plenty of other children for the kids to play with, leaving you with more time to relax.

If you haven’t had a traditional holiday for a while, give it a try – you might just love it!
