MOART Week One: By the Numbers

MO-ART

11 Sep

After one week on the road, how does it all add up?

1486 total miles

212 gallons of gas (I’ll do the math and tell you we got an average of seven miles to the gallon. Woohoo! No, really, that’s good news.)

Six states (Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio)

568 Cornfields (See states above)

3 blown fuses (Air conditioner and toaster oven can’t run at the same time)

12 ft 1 inch: The clearance height of our camper (Only about 8 inches taller than the clearance pole we hit when we guessed.)

7 days on the road

72 days to go

Wow!  That's a lot of cornfields.  I hope you're just estimating the number.  ðŸ™‚

Sorry about the clearance problem.  How frustrating.

I love this update… not the part about the corn fields or the clearance, but I love seeing the progress of you making your dreams come true. 🙂

Looking good!  Sounds like a little drama and a lot of fun.  Isn't that what it's all about?  I'm taking my boys to San Fransisco this weekend, so I'm scouring your site for tips.  I'll keep watching your progress.  Best of luck.

I've been thinking about your family and hoping the grand adventure is going well. It looks like it is, as long as you like cornfields. Have fun! I'm looking forward to the updates.
