When Lego Meets Disney

Been There Done That· Disney

31 May

Mickey Mouse is the undisputed ruler of the Orlando region, while LEGOLand is the upstart new kid on the block.  With the potential for a full scale Mighty Mouse vs the Brick Brigade battle, it's nice to wander into Downtown Disney and see these two come together in such seamlessfusion.  All hail the power of capitalism!

Whoa! The rocket fire is even made out of Legos. That is incredible! My hubby is dreaming of the day that we can take the boys to Legoland. I'm not sure who will be more excited though, the hubby or the kids 😉

Great shots!  We didn't make it to Downtown Disney until our last night in Orlando over the Christmas holidays.  It was dark and we were in a hurry when we went past the LEGO store – I wish we would have had time to stop and take photos!

I love these especially the rocket.  I remember that water dragon from several years ago but those Snow White Legos are new.  How cool!

I was just in Legoland in Germany yesterday! It looks different than the one you were up, but the same idea.  I loved all the Lego figureines everywhere, but my favorite were the miniature LEGO villages of German cities.  Very fun!

These are awesome. I'm always fascinated by what people can do with legos- this is something else!

I can't believe the detail possible with Lego – or the time required to make such beautiful pieces.

I think it's pretty amazing what they can make out of legos. Creative genius! I pick Snow White — just because.

I've never been too excited about going to Legoland but these are pretty impressive. I'm sure I would enjoy it a lot!

It does seem kind of weird to have the Lego displays in Downtown Disney doesn't it? I don't think Legoland is really all that strong a competitor for Disney though, and it sure does add some "Ohhh" factor to the area.

These are fantastic! Lego is all the rage here in Korea as well.

This is too cute. Love the green dragon. I like the cross-promotion 🙂
