A Whirlwind Weekend in Dallas and Fort Worth

Arrive early in the morning at DFW International Airport ready to take on ‘Big D” and ‘Cowtown.’


Check into you hotel just minutes from the airport.  Great Wolf Lodge is a great choice if you are traveling with the kiddos.
Or choose the Gaylord Texan on the shores of Lake Grapevine for a great romantic getaway for two.
Grab some authentic Tex-Mex at Esparza’s in historic downtown Grapevine.  Ask for a seat on the patio so you can soak up the charming atmosphere on Main Street.
Head over to downtown Dallas for an afternoon of sightseeing and history.  Begin at the landmark Old Red Museum to learn the history and culture of Dallas.

Walk across the street to the Sixth Floor Museum and learn about the tragic assassination of JFK. Grab some dinner at one of the lovely downtown restaurants.



Enjoy a decadent dessert  at Five Sixty by Wolfgang Puck at the top of Reunion Tower.  Enjoy a panorama of the city as the restaurant rotates once each hour. 



End your evening cheering the Mavericks on to another playoff victory at the American Airlines Center.  Go Mavs!



Good Morning!  Begin your day at the Fort Worth Stockyards where you will be immersed in the culture of an old west cattle town.

Grab an early lunch at Riscky’s BBQ where you can enjoy a view of the daily cattle drive as you enjoy your meal.
From cows to culture. Spend the afternoon at the Kimball Art Museum to check out their world famous collection.
End your day in downtown Fort Worth with a delicious meal and then a Broadway performance at the Bass Performance Hall.

Begin your day bright and early with a tour of Southfork Ranch,home of the TV show Dallas.
Pop over to tour the brand new Dallas Cowboys Stadium and check out the amazing 160 foot Jumbotron.

Take in an afternoon game of the American League Champion Texas Rangers.
Before flying home, make a stop at the newly opened Legoland Discovery Center in Grapevine where…
…You can view the major sights of the metroplex constructed of 1.5 million Lego bricks in Miniland.
