A Day Out in Frisco

Field Trips· Hometown Sojourner· Texas

31 Mar

“Mom, there is something wrong with your phone!”  Not the words you want to hear your five year old say as you are dragging yourself out of bed.  This is the same phone that just a few weeks before took an inglorious swim in the toilet, thanks to my toddler.  So, perhaps this is a cautionary tale for buying an expensive phone and refusing the insurance.

Indeed, there was something very wrong with my phone, as said five year old had dropped it and fractured the screen mightily.  Suddenly, my plans had shifted to packing up the kids and finding a cell phone doctor.  That meant driving some distance to Frisco, a suburb of Dallas.
Determined to make my lemons into lemonade, as well as keep my resolve to explore my own backyard, I did a quick search for the hidden gems of the city.  Armed with a few great ideas, we set off with a shattered cell phone and a shattered day with hopes of salvaging both.
