What are you Doing New Year's Eve?
“Wait,” I can hear you screaming at your computer, “I haven’t even gotten through Christmas yet!” With Christmas just days away, that means it is only about a week until New Year’s Eve. Although there are many people who will hire a babysitter and party like it’s 1999, but we prefer a more low key and kid friendly approach to the holiday celebrations. Luckily, there are plenty of options around town that will let us party family style.
This Side Up Family Fun Center presents: Turn Back Time, The Ball Drops at Nine. Tickets include dinner, entertainment, prizes, and a nine o-clock ball drop. This is the perfect party for little kids, who will no doubt feel too big for their britches to get to stay up late and have a party to boot! Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids.
Main Event Ring in the New Year: Main Event has two all inclusive parties to choose from on December 31. Choose the Family Fun Celebration from 9-4 or the Ultimate Celebration from 5pm-Close. With either choice your ticket buys you unlimited bowling, billiards, and laser tag. Great Wolf Lodge Snowball New Year’s Eve Celebration: You can enjoy the all the snowy holiday magic and the waterpark fun you’ve come to expect at Great Wolf Lodge, but expect for the New Year’s Bash to offer you even more fun. Face painting, balloon twisting, sock puppet show, green screen photography, carnival games, and dance party to a balloon drop are just a few of the included extras. Packages start at $309 for a family of four.
New Year’s Eve Family Fun Party at Strikz: Two parties to choose from depending on your kids age and your own stamina. The Family Friendly Party lasts from 5-8 and includes a 7 pm countdown. Tickets are $20 for kids and $25 for adults. NYE Bash begins at 9pm and last until 1 am. Tickets for the bash are $30 for kids and $35 for adults. Both parties include bowling, billards, lazer tag, video games, and an all you can eat pizz/pasta buffet. Hats, streamers, and noisemakers complete the party atmosphere.
New Year’s Eve Rockin’ Lock In at Eisenbergs Skate: Are your older kids looking for a little freedom on NYE while mom and dad still want a little supervision? Eisenbergs Skate Park offers a full night of skating biking, and gorging on all you can eat pizza, soda, and donuts. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door.
New Year’s Parade Dallas: Whether you turn in early or stay up all night, you should still be able to catch the New Year’s Day Cotton Bowl Classic Parade in downtown Dallas. Parade begins at 2 pm and will include festive floats and plenty of toe tapping marching bands.

I plan on taking a nap. That's an option right? We fly back home the night before so I have a feeling we will be crashing hard on New Years Eve. OR we could just celebrate like we are on London time and ring in the New year at 4pm PST. Ha ha! Happy New Years lady!
